Provides strategy support to Category Merchandising & Pricing teams
Responsible for all aspects of Category Analysis, that will support achievement of brand strategies
Assist with shelf presentation, assortment decisions, cost negotiations, promotional planning,and product and program development
Responsible for the accuracy and validation of vendor submitted deals
Monitor and maintain everyday low prices on Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Beverages, Rewards and Commercial Bakery products to maintain or enhance profitability
Work with category teams to analyze the profitability of upcoming promotions, expense and impact on margin
Utilize sales reporting tools and syndicated data to identify market trends and opportunities for growth
Work with category lead to develop pricing strategy and maintain competitive indexes
Manage inventory PAR levels for Grocery, Bakery, Prepared Foods and Meat products so that the region has consistent access to fresh product.
Oversee $7.5 million in at-cost product, averaging 19 turns per fiscal period.
Reconcile purchase orders, product costs and weights before and after receipt.
Coordinate with product and department coordinators to make new products available to the region, and process discounts and promotions from our suppliers.
